Features hand forged handles and dovetailed seams the sign of a highly skilled blacksmith of this time. The most worthy feature of this pot is the two intricate large crowns stamped to both the lid and pot for royalty or aristocrat descent along with initials "NH1" for original 19th century owner. Initials were often stamped into the cookware of aristocrat homes to prevent loss or theft in a large collection. The number one can symbolize the rank of the item in a colection as aristocratic households also numbered their cookware. Also stamped with its maker "ADAM & SON 26 BURY St LONDON S.W.". This is a true one of a kind find! We can confidently say we will never have another again! Has been restored to be used once again.
